I haven't built a PC in 15 years, so I'm looking for some advice on whether to go with a pre-built desktop from CLX at Best Buy or to build my own system. Right now, I use a NUC9, but it's freezing up and I'm really frustrated with it. My setup usually involves trading stocks and crypto with around 30 Chrome tabs open, plus the TradingView, Webull, and Fidelity apps. My budget is around $2,000, and I've been eyeing this pre-built PC from Best Buy because I have that amount available on my Best Buy card. But is it worth building my own instead? I just want to make sure I get the best performance for my money! Any thoughts?

Honestly, that pre-built CLX system you linked is pretty rough. You'd probably get a lot better performance if you build your own PC with quality components that suit your needs better. Given your budget, you should be able to put together something that beats that pre-built easily. Plus, building your own can be satisfying!
Haha, totally feel you on the instant gratification! But if you're renovating your office too, investing in a solid build might be worth it. It doesn't hurt to check out some good build guides that fit your budget!
