Hey everyone! I just set up Steam on my Linux Mint and enabled Proton, and I'm curious about the differences between the Experimental version and the others. I'm planning to play Age of Empires 4 later and want to know if I need to tweak any settings. Any tips or advice you could share would be really appreciated! Thanks!

You'll really only know what works once you try it. If you hit a snag, don't hesitate to search for solutions. I’ve had some success with the Experimental version and specific launch items for certain games, but it's not a one-size-fits-all solution. Just remember, Proton is still evolving and more devs are likely to support Linux in the future!

I'll go for it then, thanks for the push!

So, the Experimental version is pretty much the latest and greatest, but keep in mind it's also like the wild west—things might break because it hasn't been fully tested yet. It's exciting, but can also be unstable!

True, it might be better but you could run into issues since it's not fully polished.
