I've heard that the AMD RX 400 and 500 series were heavily used for mining, but I'm curious about which other GPUs or generations were popular in the mining scene. Any insights?

Definitely the GTX 10 Series and 30 Series saw loads of mining! The 900 Series was also a big player right before the 10 Series came out.

Yeah, the 900 Series was mined a lot, too, especially right before the 10 Series launched.

From what I recall, the Radeon RX Vega series was also mined heavily. I think it had something to do with its VRAM performance; it had HBM, making it a top choice for miners during that time.

Also, keep in mind that any cards that they made low hash rate versions for were widely mined, especially the RTX 3000 series.

Can you name any particular cards?

There were tons of RX 580 and GTX 1060 6GB cards being mined. Those were definitely some of the main workhorses for miners.

Don't forget the 30 Series! They saw a lot of action in mining. It seems like they were really popular due to their performance.

Any specific cards in the RTX 3000 lineup that were standout choices?
