I'm having some issues with my iPhone where it accidentally deleted all my open private browsing tabs – about 89 of them! I usually use private browsing by default. I know that Apple doesn't keep a history of these tabs once they're closed, but I have an iCloud backup from about two weeks ago that should include the tabs I had open at that time. I'm trying to figure out whether restoring my backup will bring back those private tabs. My iPhone has previously retained the tabs even after a reset, so I'm hoping there's a chance I can recover them. Does anyone know if a backup restore will help?

Unfortunately, no. When you restore your iPhone from a backup, those private Safari tabs aren't included because that’s how private browsing works. It's designed to not save any history, cache, or session data to keep things private. However, if you just restart your iPhone, sometimes it does keep your private browsing session intact because iOS holds onto your app state.
Thank you for that clarification. I really appreciate the explanation!
