I spotted the Zotac SOLID 5090 listed for $1,999 on Newegg today (model ZT-B50900D-10P, base version, no overclocking) and decided to grab it. Now I'm curious why it's priced at the Founders Edition MSRP from launch while other models are listed above $2,300. Am I missing some important details? I'm concerned because I plan to sell my current GPU to help pay for it, but if this card has any known issues, I'd be in a tough spot with no GPU for a while and a hefty $2,200 bill. What should I keep an eye on?

You're safe with that purchase! It's a solid card for that price point. I saw it listed at $2,500 just yesterday, so it looks like it's on sale now. If you get it and don't like it, Newegg usually has a good return policy.
That's reassuring, but my biggest concern is the gap of possibly being GPU-less for two weeks if I need to return it. I guess I’ll just have to find some outdoor activities to fill the time, haha.
