Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my older graphics card for something more modern, but I want to know if I can do this without changing my power supply unit (PSU). Currently, my CPU has a TDP of 65W and the GPU is around 175W, and I'm not hitting the PSU's limit, but I want to make sure this is a safe choice. Here's my setup:

- CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 -10700 @ 2.90GHz
- Current GPU: RTX 2060 Super
- Motherboard: MAG B460M Mortar WIFI (MS-7C82)
- PSU: 500 watts 80+ Bronze

If upgrading is possible, what GPUs would you recommend? I really appreciate any insights!

If you're looking for a direct upgrade without getting a new PSU, the 9060XT 16GB could be a great fit since it has a similar power draw to your current card but offers a significant performance boost. Just keep in mind, upgrading your PSU will be a good idea eventually!

Honestly, you might want to consider getting a new PSU along with your GPU upgrade. It’ll give you more flexibility in the long run and better performance!

You’re right! I just dread the thought of messing with cable management.

Both the 9060XT and the 5060 Ti should slot in just fine with your current setup! However, upgrading the PSU could really enhance your overall gaming experience for years to come.

I hear you on that! I've been meaning to upgrade my PSU too, but the thought of dealing with all those cables is just overwhelming.

You might also consider undervolting if you want to fit something like a 5070 into your rig. Even with your 2060 Super, you could potentially experience a performance gain while keeping the power draw lower. Just make sure you're comfortable with that process!

I’m intrigued by that! Is it safe to undervolt? I’ve been running an overclocked 2060 at 184W, so looking at options like the 5070 sounds appealing.

For AMD, RX 6600 XT, RX 7600 XT, or RX 9060 XT are solid choices. On the Nvidia side, check out the 3060 12GB, 4060 Ti, or 5060 Ti. Just be aware of any potential driver issues with Intel CPUs if you go with the RX 9060XT!

I’m leaning towards the RX 9060XT or the 5060Ti, but I’d love to know more about any stability or driver concerns with that combo.
