Hey folks! I recently upgraded my graphics card from a 1080ti to a 5070 because I wanted better performance for the latest games, but now I'm facing a frustrating issue. Every time I shut down my PC and start it back up, I'm met with a no DisplayPort signal unless I remove the new card, reset the CMOS, and boot into the BIOS settings. I can't figure out why this is happening each time. Here are my specs for reference:
- CPU: i7 9700k
- Motherboard: MSI MPG Z390m gaming edge
- RAM: 16GB 3200 Corsair
- Storage: Samsung m.2 for Windows and some games, Seagate 4TB HDD for other storage and games.
Everything worked flawlessly with my old 1080ti, so I'm wondering if my motherboard is acting up or if there's something wrong with the RAM overclocking. Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked if your BIOS is up to date? Sometimes, newer hardware needs the latest BIOS versions to function smoothly. Also, think about replacing the CMOS battery; it might not be the root cause, but it can prevent some weird issues.

I did check the BIOS, and it’s updated to the latest version from last year. 🙁
