Why does my PC only turn on when it’s on my desk?

I built my PC about a year ago and have had it sitting on the side of my desk without any issues. Recently, I decided to move it under my desk, and suddenly it wouldn't turn on at all. I was really worried, so I moved it back on top of my desk and pressed the BIOS flashback button. It turned on immediately! Afterward, I tried putting it back under the desk and it worked again. Has anyone experienced something like this? Any tips on what might be happening?

Just to clarify, does it work or not when it's under the desk? You mentioned it does when it's on the desk, but if the USB ports still function under the desk, it sounds like there's a connection issue somewhere. Have you checked the cables? They might be getting pulled or pinched in that spot.

It works on the desk, but it's having issues under the desk, even though the USB ports are still functional.

It sounds like your power cord might not be fully inserted. Sometimes moving the PC around can loosen connections. Make sure everything is snug, especially the power cable.
