Hey everyone! I'm building a new PC and I'm trying to decide between the 7800X3D and the Core Ultra 265K. In Italy, they're priced similarly because the motherboard for the Core is a bit more expensive. Just to clarify, this PC will primarily be used for gaming. What do you all think?

For gaming, you shouldn't overlook the 7800X3D. It's not only stronger for current games but also has a better upgrade path in the future since it's compatible with new CPUs in the AM5 socket.
That's a good point! Does it make a big difference at 4K resolution?
If you're focusing on gaming, the 7800X3D is definitely the better choice. It's optimized for that purpose and will provide a smoother experience overall.
Honestly, it really depends on what you plan to do with the PC. The 7800X3D excels in gaming, while the Core Ultra 265K might be a better fit for tasks like video editing.
The 7800X3D is generally considered the better option. Plus, with AMD's AM5 platform, you have the flexibility to upgrade later without getting a new motherboard. Intel's options are more limiting.
Going with the 7800X3D is a solid move.
Yeah, I would say the gains are more apparent at lower resolutions.
