I'm dealing with an issue where my mouse frequently disconnects while gaming or browsing. I have a total of five USB ports on my motherboard, and I'm using four for my peripherals. It seems like the disconnection happens mostly with devices plugged into adjacent ports. I've tried moving my main mouse to a known good port, but my other mouse still loses connection, and even my keyboard sometimes fails. I'm considering getting a protected USB hub to resolve this. Has anyone else faced this issue? Would using a USB hub help?

Are you asking about ports next to each other on your USB hub or the motherboard? A good, powered USB hub should help you out. What kind of hub are you using now? Ideally, it's better to connect both mice directly to the motherboard and just use a hub for less critical devices that don't need low latency or heavy bandwidth.

The ports are on my motherboard, and I’m not using a hub right now. I’m not sure if I should just go for any hub or specifically an isolated one, since I think it might be a signal issue.
