Hey everyone! I recently got a new setup with an i5-12400f processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU. Unfortunately, my 1080p MSI monitor broke, and I'm on the hunt for a replacement. Some folks have mentioned that investing in a high-quality 1080p monitor isn't worth it nowadays, but I'm concerned that moving to a 1440p monitor might drop my frame rates significantly. Alternatively, I'm also worried that a budget 1080p monitor might fail like my last one did. I appreciate any advice you can give, including monitor recommendations. I'm not too concerned about the price; I just want a monitor that lasts.

Your setup can definitely handle a 1440p monitor! It really comes down to the games you like to play and how much FPS you're aiming for. I've been running a 1440p setup with a lower-end card than yours, and I get solid frame rates. So, you should be good to go!
