I'm experiencing an issue with my RAM speed. I have 3200MHz RAM, but HWINFO is showing it at just 1000MHz. While I know my motherboard doesn't support XMP, it shouldn't be running this low. Task Manager indicates 2133MHz, but I believe HWINFO provides a more accurate reading. Can anyone help me figure out what's going wrong?

Have you tried enabling the XMP profile (or EXPO if you're on an AMD platform)? Without this, your RAM will stick to its lowest clock speeds, which is often around 2133MHz for DDR4.
Check your BIOS. You should enable XMP if available and set the RAM's command rate to T1. Also, adjust Gear Down Mode to 1 or disable it altogether to prevent it from running at half speed. Ensure your CPU and motherboard support 3200MHz. Since your mobo doesn’t support XMP, you might have to manually set the timings and speed, or just accept the 2133MHz with incorrect settings.
If Task Manager shows 2133MHz, I'd go with that reading. 1000MHz isn't really a feasible speed for DDR4 RAM. It might be picking up a misreading from HWINFO.
1066MHz could make sense, considering it's double data rate for DDR, which means 2133MT/s.
Is it tough to manually set the timings and speed?
