Help! My MacBook was marked delivered by FedEx but never arrived

Hey folks, I'm really stressing out right now. I ordered a MacBook through Apple's education discount on September 2nd, and it was supposed to arrive today, September 4th, requiring a signature at delivery. Since I live in a dorm, I arranged for it to be sent to my home address about 30 minutes away so my mom could sign for it. I even shared the tracking details with her in advance.

This morning at 8:10 AM, I got a notification from FedEx that a delivery driver named 'Christopher' was bringing my package. But when I got the alert saying it had been delivered, I rushed home to find out from my mom that nothing had actually arrived.

Upon checking our Ring camera, there was no sign of a FedEx truck coming to our place. The FedEx site shows it was delivered, and there is a photo included—but it's so zoomed in that you can't tell where the package is, just some vague door. Definitely not ours. Meanwhile, Apple's order status also shows as delivered, but we've got nothing.

We searched around the neighborhood; I knocked on doors, but no luck at all. I tried calling FedEx, and they just told me their system confirms it was delivered. Then I reached out to Apple, but they said that the delivery confirmation photo is unavailable now on their end. With all this confusion—and knowing it required a signature—I'm worried that it might have gone to the wrong address or worse, been stolen. This purchase was a big deal for me, costing nearly $1000, and I really need it for my schoolwork. Anyone gone through something similar with Apple or FedEx? What can I do while I wait for Apple's response to the case I opened? Any advice would be super helpful!

That’s stressful! Just keep contacting Apple every day and ask for updates on your case. In many cases, they might issue a replacement or a refund if they can’t track it down quickly. Make sure to follow up!

Sounds like a classic FedEx mix-up! I’d definitely keep pushing Apple. They need to escalate this since it’s a expensive item that should’ve required a signature. It can be frustrating, but persistence pays off. Keep all your evidence, like tracking and your communication with them!
