Is my $2k PC upgrade setup ready for 1440p gaming?

I'm planning to upgrade my setup so I can enjoy 1440p gaming, and I have a budget of $2,000 that includes a monitor and taxes. Ideally, I want to buy everything from Microcenter because it's close by and returns would be easier. I don't need a hard drive or CPU cooler since I already have the Phantom Spirit cooler. You can check out my build at the Microcenter custom PC builder link provided. Originally, I considered getting the 9070XT but ended up going with the 5070Ti because it comes with a free copy of Borderlands 4—one of the games I'm looking to play. Any suggestions or changes I should consider? Thanks!

I’d suggest thinking about a 7800X3D or 9600X for your CPU to really boost performance with the 5070Ti. You should also consider a monitor with at least 240Hz, or even a 4K display, depending on your gaming style. Personally, I enjoyed gaming at 1440p with decent refresh rates before trying out different GPUs.

The 7800X3D isn’t too far off in price from the 9800X3D, so I picked the latter. Any advice on whether HDR performance or a higher refresh rate is better?

Are you sure about your CPU cooler? If you're switching from AM4 to AM5, just double-check that your cooler is compatible since the mounting is the same. Your hardware is looking good overall, though I'm no monitor expert. You might want to seek opinions on that part!

Right now, I have a Ryzen 3600.

Your build looks solid! However, I would recommend looking at the 850W Cybernetics Platinum PSU—it's a better value. And choosing the 5070Ti over the 9070XT for just $50 more is a smart move. Just one thing: skip the hard drive since you already have a big SSD to reuse!

Why not get a hard drive? I'm still new to this and trying to learn.

Oh, my bad! I meant don’t worry about getting a new hard drive if you have an SSD already.
