I'm in search of a robust solution for our library that includes a reboot-to-restore feature, or even better, a logout-to-restore function to manage volatile sessions. Additionally, we need a payment system for renting out PC time which ties in with the library cards we issue. It should also have the capability to automatically end sessions when the time is up. Lastly, we want to control USB storage device access, ensuring that even in a volatile session, all drives are scanned before they can be used on the computers. Any suggestions?

For the booking part, Libki is worth exploring. It's designed for managing public access computers in settings like libraries.
You might want to check out software like Deep Freeze or Rollback RX. They can help maintain the system's state, but I understand they might not have the kiosk features you need.
Yeah, they were on our radar, but they don’t offer the internet café kiosk features we’re aiming for, specifically with library card integrations.
Thanks for the tip! I'll check it out right now.
