Hey everyone! I'm planning to build a new PC soon and I'm in a bit of a bind when it comes to picking a power supply unit (PSU). I'm considering going with an 850W Gold PSU, but I'm not sure if that's really necessary. Here are my specs: I'm using an Asus TUF RTX 5070 OC GPU and a Ryzen 7 7800x3d CPU. Also, I have 32GB of DDR5 RAM, but I'm unsure if that affects my PSU choice. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! 😊

You should be perfectly fine with 850W! The RTX 5070 can actually run comfortably on a 650W PSU, but 750W gives you a nice safety margin. So an 850W Gold is a solid choice for future-proofing.

Also do you recommend gold, platinum, etc?

If you're looking for a good balance, an 850W Gold is great. Just to give you an extra tip, the Montech Century II is a solid pick at around $90 for that wattage!
