Hey everyone! So, I built my PC about a year and a half ago with the help of a friend. Unfortunately, the fans on my CPU cooler have started making some rattling noises, and my attempts to clean them just seem to have made things worse. One fan is definitely noisier than the other, and I think my cats might have contributed to the problem by sitting on the PC before I moved. Now I'm trying to decide: should I just replace the fans, or is it better to go for a whole new CPU cooler? I'm using a DeepCool LT520, and I can detach the fans, so it seems like replacing them could be an option. But if I do need to replace the entire cooler, any recommendations? I'm not super familiar with the latest products on the market right now. Thanks!

Replacing the fans is definitely the cheaper route! Just get some good ones with high static pressure—they'll work better with your radiator. And maybe consider putting a cat hammock above your PC to keep them off it!
You absolutely don't need to replace the whole cooler. Just grab a couple of decent 120mm fans that have high static pressure; they'll do a great job at cooling and keep the noise down.
I’ll definitely be on the lookout for those high static pressure fans mentioned! Thanks for the tip!
Yeah, swapping the fans sounds like a smart move! And I'm glad to hear your cats have found a new sitting spot—they can be so mischievous!
