Does RD Gateway with NPS Support MSCHAPv2 Authentication?

I'm trying to set up a Remote Desktop (RD) Gateway with Network Policy Server (NPS) and I'm hitting a wall with authentication methods. Specifically, I want to know if this setup supports MSCHAPv2 or any other authentication mechanisms at all. Currently, the only option I've found is allowing clients to connect without any authentication, and I've scoured the internet for answers with no luck. Just to clarify, this isn't for 802.1x or VPN; it's specifically for remote desktop services. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

We actually use multi-factor authentication (MFA) for our NPS, but we were hoping to layer on something like MSCHAPv2 as well. Adding extra security could really help in this case.

I don't think MSCHAPv2 is supported for this setup. Sometimes, if the RD Gateway isn't domain-joined, there might be a chance, but overall it seems tricky. Are you planning to expose it to the internet? That could change things a bit.
