Why is my MacBook connected to Wi-Fi but can’t access the internet?

I'm having an issue with my MacBook at work. It connects fine to our staff network and shows it's online, but I can't load any websites. It's strange because the other networks are working fine, and my coworkers are not facing this problem. Has anyone encountered this before and have any suggestions on what I can do?

I had a similar issue recently. Sometimes it helps to reset the SMC (System Management Controller) and NVRAM (Non-Volatile Random Access Memory) on your Mac. This can help fix weird connectivity problems. Just look up how to reset SMC and NVRAM for your Mac model, and it should clear up the issue.

Make sure your Wi-Fi network settings are correct. Go to Network Preferences, select your network, and then click 'Advanced.' Remove any old networks that are saved there. You could also try forgetting the network and reconnecting by entering the password again. Sometimes, a fresh connection resolves connectivity issues.

It sounds like a DNS issue. You might want to try flushing your DNS cache. Open up Terminal and type `sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder`, then hit enter. After that, restart your MacBook and see if that helps. Also, check your network settings to ensure that your DNS server is correctly set up. Sometimes, it helps to switch to Google’s DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) as well!
