Hey all! I'm gearing up to build a new PC and would really appreciate some guidance. I'm considering the Ryzen 5 5500 as it fits my budget nicely. Do you think the stock cooler will handle it? Additionally, I'll be sticking with my RX 480 4GB GPU for now—can it work well with the 5500? I'm looking at the MSI MAG Forge 120A case, which comes with an 80+ Bronze A650BNL power supply. Is that PSU reliable? Also, I'm planning to get used RAM—what specs should I focus on (like frequency and brand)? My last PC bit the dust due to a power surge, so I'm curious if this new setup will be more resilient. Any tips for protection? If you're flexible, I suggest looking for the Ryzen 5 5600 or Intel 12400. They’re often available used and offer better performance for a similar price.
If I find a second-hand 5600, what should I check before purchasing it? And would the stock cooler be sufficient?
