I'm having some performance issues running Oblivion on my PC. I'm considering upgrading since I think it's about time to invest a bit. Here's my current setup:

* CPU: i5-9600
* Graphics: Geforce RTX 3060
* Motherboard: ASRock B365 Pro4
* RAM: 8 GB DDR4-2400 (2 sticks)
* Power Supply: EVGA 650 B3

What do you all think? Where should I put my money for the best improvements?

Honestly, your specs aren't terrible, and it's mostly an issue with Unreal Engine 5 not being great with optimization. I'd focus on upgrading your CPU and RAM first. If you're facing stuttering, it might be because of the game's optimization rather than your hardware.

Do you really think I need more than 16GB of RAM? I wonder if it’s more about the speed of the RAM sticks.

I think you should hold off on upgrading for now. Running DLSS at quality settings at 1080p should be sufficient. If you're getting stutter, it's likely a game issue. But if you're looking to upgrade, consider grabbing 32GB of at least 3200MHz RAM; it's relatively cheap and would give you a decent boost.
