Hey everyone! I'm trying to decide between the 9700X and the 7800X3D, since they are priced almost the same (just a 10 euro difference). I'm mainly going to use my PC for gaming, likely at 1440p, along with some basic video editing, Photoshop, and Blender. I've been watching benchmark videos, but I still don't quite get the real difference between them. On another note, I'm also torn between the 5070 Ti and the 9070 XT. Right now, the 5070 Ti is about 100-120 euros cheaper, but it seems to perform slightly better in gaming and has a bit more future-proofing. Is the upgrade worth it?

I have a build with the 9700X and 5070 Ti, and I can say it's pretty solid for everything! Cool running and no issues, so I’m happy with my choices. You'll likely be fine going this route if you find a good deal.

Honestly, go for the 7800X3D. It has a clear advantage in gaming compared to the 9700X, which is only slightly better for productivity. Given the small price difference between the GPUs, the 5070 Ti is the better value in most cases, so I’d choose that one too if budget allows.

For the CPU, I'd say just grab whichever one is cheaper. The 7800X3D is a bit better for gaming performance, but if you lean more towards productivity, the 9700X edges it out. As for the GPU, I'd definitely go for the 5070 Ti if you're into productivity software like Blender, since the 9070 XT doesn't hold up as well in those tasks. Just check out some benchmarks if you want more details!

Yeah, the 9700X does have better multicore performance, even competing with something like a 12700K.

If you're focused on gaming, the 7800X3D is significantly faster than the 9700X, especially due to the extra L3 cache. It really shows in gaming benchmarks. As for the GPU, while the 5070 Ti is faster, the performance difference is mainly noticeable during heavy ray tracing. Personally, I think the 9070XT is worth considering especially if you can then save some cash for a better CPU like the 9800X3D later on!
