I'm trying to figure out how to determine if a surge protector is safe for some electronic devices I own, including a 1440p 120hz monitor, a speaker system, a Steam Deck, a Nintendo Switch, and occasionally a laptop. I also need it to support USB-C and possibly charging earbuds and my phone. Currently, I'm using two separate power sources, but I came across a desk clamp surge protector that caught my eye. However, I'm not sure if it's safe to plug all my devices into one protector. Does anyone have advice on how to choose a safe surge protector? Here's a link to one I'm considering: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DBSTDM5D. Does this look like a reliable option? If not, I can always keep my other protectors around for safety.

It's best to go with a trusted brand like APC, Cyberpower, or Belkin. The generic ones often aren't reliable. I recommend staying away from the one you linked; customers using good brands usually report way fewer problems than those with cheaper protectors.
Absolutely! Stick with known brands. Also, note that surge protectors have a limited lifespan, particularly MOV-based units. It's smart to replace them every few years, especially after heavy storms. If you’re using them heavily, write the purchase date on the back so you remember!
Thanks for the tips! I've been eyeing an APC UPS model with 7 outlets at Best Buy; maybe that's a more durable choice for the long haul.
