I'm currently using a 4070 Ti for gaming at 1440p, but I'm thinking about upgrading to 4K soon. Is it worth it to upgrade now, or should I wait for the next-gen GPUs to come out?

If you can sell your 4070 Ti for around $300, consider looking at an 80-class card or the 7900 XTX. Even the 9070 XT would be a good choice. However, with the current GPU market being all over the place, it might be wiser to wait for the next-gen releases, since you'll only get a small performance increase now.

Honestly, I think you should grab a 4K monitor first and test how the 4070 Ti performs at that resolution. You might be pleasantly surprised by its capabilities!

A solid upgrade would be the 5070 Ti, offering about a 28% performance boost for around $800. If you want something even stronger, the 5080 could give you a 40% increase at about $1400. But if you're looking for something serious, the 5090 is a beast, though it’ll set you back between $3000 and $4000!
