Is My New Build a Good Choice?

I recently lost my PC that I've been using for seven years and I'm planning to build a new one from scratch. Before I make any purchases, I want to make sure I'm not overlooking any components or creating a bottleneck by either over- or under-buying. Here's what I'm considering for my new setup:

- Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5080 Windforce OC GDDR7 16GB
- AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Processor
- Corsair Vengeance 64GB (2x32GB) 6200MHz CL32 DDR5 RAM
- Gigabyte X870 Gaming X WiFi DDR5 Motherboard
- Super Flower Leadex III Gold 1300W PCIe 5.1 Power Supply
- Thermalright Frozen Edge 360mm AIO CPU Cooler Black
- Samsung 870 EVO 2.5in SATA SSD 4TB

For now, I'll be gaming on my current 1440p monitor, but I'm considering a 4K upgrade in the future when I have the budget.

No build is stupid! If it fits your needs, that’s what matters. Don’t stress about getting everyone’s approval. Just ask yourself, 'Does it do what I want it to do?' If yes, then you’re set!

You're going with a SATA SSD? That works for your games, but you should seriously consider using an M.2 NVMe SSD as your boot drive for better performance!

Honestly, your power supply is over 1000W, which is way more than you need. An 850W will do just fine. Also, a good air cooler is often enough, you don't need a 360 AIO. Check out the Samsung 990 series for a faster SSD upgrade!

Without knowing your specific use case, it seems like some parts are overkill. I think a B650 motherboard and a 1000W PSU would be more suitable. A 6000 MHz RAM with CL30 is ideal for AM5 too. You might also want to look into getting an NVMe M.2 SSD to save some cash on other components and put it toward a nice OLED monitor for an amazing experience!

This is actually pretty close to what I just built! Just ensure everything is compatible. The only hiccup I'm facing is with the audio quality – I'm still trying to figure that out. Updating the BIOS might help!
