How Can I Stop Google Chrome from Opening Ads on Startup?

So, I recently installed a game, but ever since then, Google Chrome has been opening random ad sites every time I start my computer. Even after uninstalling the game, the issue persists. I checked the settings in Google Chrome and the startup programs in the Task Manager, but nothing seems off. I'm on Windows 10, but unfortunately, my restore points weren't working, so I can't just roll back to a previous state. Any ideas on how to identify the program causing this?

Try checking your startup apps to see if there's anything suspicious there. Don't forget to look at your Chrome extensions as well! It's also worth checking the Task Scheduler for any hidden tasks that might be running on startup.

I looked at the Startup and Chrome extensions, and I didn’t notice anything unusual. Task Scheduler and System Services seem a bit complex for me, so it’s taking a while to figure it all out, but I'm determined!
