Hi everyone! I've got an HP Envy laptop running Windows 11, and unfortunately, the built-in webcam is broken. I've tried all the support options and even did a system restore, but nothing seems to work. So, I'm looking to buy a USB webcam to keep using my laptop. However, I want to know if I can continue using the microphone on my earbuds or headset, since most webcams come with their own mics. Will the settings allow me to use my headset mic, or do I need to find a webcam that doesn't have a mic at all? I plan on using it for online meetings like Zoom and telehealth consultations. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Absolutely, you can use your headphones' mic! Just make sure to select it as the microphone in the app you’re using, like Zoom or Teams. For Zoom, you’ll find an option next to the microphone icon to choose which mic to use.

I'll also need it for doxy.me, the telehealth platform.
