I'm looking at a great deal at Microcenter where I can get the Ryzen 9900X bundled with a solid motherboard for $500. I game at 3440x1440 resolution and I'm trying to decide if I should go for this bundle or spend a bit more on the Ryzen 9800X3D, which costs about $450 on its own. What do you think would be the better choice for my gaming setup?

Both CPUs are decent, but the 9800X3D definitely offers better performance for gaming. If you're using a fancy graphics card, the X3D version might really help push those frame rates higher. Just weigh what you need for gaming versus your budget!
If you're not set on spending extra, I'd suggest the 7800X3D instead of the 9900X. The 9900X isn't really ideal purely for gaming, so why not save some cash?
You could grab the 7800X3D for around $280 and potentially price match it at Best Buy. You might save even more money and still get a great chip!
Check out this specific bundle from Microcenter—it's a solid deal! I got something similar about three weeks ago and it's been amazing.
I just saw that deal too, it’s a steal! Definitely recommend jumping on it.
Wow, that bundle is just a crazy good value! Don't miss it.
I’d recommend going for the 9800X3D. It not only gives you better frames but also helps with smoother gameplay during intense moments. Since you’re investing, it makes sense to get the better option.

I did exactly that—got a great price and didn't even have to wait for shipping. Just check their stock!
