Why Does My Monitor Go Static After Waking My Computer?

I've been dealing with a frustrating issue where every 10-15 times my computer wakes up from sleep, one of my monitors starts showing static. It flashes on and off every few seconds and even creates a static noise from the built-in speakers. I've swapped out the HDMI cables, so I don't think that's the problem. It usually occurs on my main monitor, but sometimes it happens with the second one too. This issue can happen when I try to wake the computer with the mouse, but there are times when it occurs spontaneously while I'm using it or even when the computer is asleep. I've checked sleep settings in both Windows 11 and on the monitors, and none of the suggestions I found online have worked. However, I can fix the problem temporarily by unplugging and replugging the HDMI cord or by putting the computer to sleep and waking it up again. Any advice would be much appreciated! I'm using Windows 11 on a 5070Ti with two Acer Nitro XV272U monitors.

Have you tried using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to remove your graphics card drivers completely and then reinstalling them? It can help with a lot of display issues, especially after updates.

I just did that, and it happens about once a week still. Fingers crossed it helps long-term!

Do I need to reinstall the drivers manually after using DDU? My second monitor isn't working now.
