I'm having a frustrating issue and need some help. I pay for a 1000/1000 Mbps internet plan. On my phone, I usually get between 400-600 Mbps, which is great, but on my PC, I'm only seeing about 200-270 Mbps. I've checked and confirmed that my Ethernet settings are configured for 1 Gbps, so it's not a bottleneck from the network adapter. Does anyone have any idea what's going on?

It sounds like it could be a problem with the network card or the Ethernet cable. I’d suggest starting with the cable since it's usually easier to swap out for testing. If you have a spare cable lying around, try that and see if it improves your speed.
First off, make sure your drivers are updated and that you're using a new or different Ethernet cable to rule out issues there. Also, check if you're using a reliable speed test website. If you're downloading something large, keep in mind that your drive's write speed might affect your download speed. If you have other wired devices, test them to see if the same issue occurs. Lastly, double-check your router settings to ensure it’s not throttling your connection.
