What Should I Do After My Laptop’s Firmware Update Was Canceled?

Early this morning, I woke up to my laptop's fan making a loud noise, even though it was closed. Upon opening it, I saw a firmware update in progress with a warning not to close the laptop. I left it open, but after a few minutes, my mom heard the noise and mistakenly closed it. I'm worried that the update got aborted—what should I check now? Is there any reason to be concerned? Any tips would be really appreciated!

First off, try turning your laptop back on and see what happens. Sometimes it takes a while for updates to finalize; give it up to 30 minutes just to be sure. And you might want to have a chat with your mom about not closing it next time, as interrupting the update can lead to issues. But don't panic yet!

The laptop seems to be running fine so far, but I'm still a bit anxious about its stability after this.
