How Tough Is It to Upgrade My CPU and GPU?

I've been trying to play TESIV: Oblivion (Remastered) and ran into an issue: my system doesn't meet the minimum requirements. The error says I need a CPU with at least 6 logical processors, and my video memory needs to be at least 6 GB, but I'm currently at 4 GB. Can anyone give me insight into how difficult it is to upgrade my CPU and GPU?

Upgrading your CPU and GPU is pretty straight forward once you know what you're doing. Just make sure you have basic PC building skills and follow a guide. It’ll help a lot! For your needs, I would recommend something like an AMD Ryzen 5 for a good balance of performance and price, and for the GPU, maybe something like a GTX 1660 Super or an RTX 3060 if your budget allows.

Exactly! A Ryzen 5 will give you plenty of power without breaking the bank. Just double-check that your cooling system can keep up with the new parts.

Getting the right upgrades isn't too tricky! First, you should post your current specs and budget so others can suggest the best options for you. The CPU upgrade will depend on your motherboard compatibility, and for the GPU, make sure your power supply can handle it. The process itself isn't too hard with some basic tools and guides.

Yeah, definitely check your motherboard's compatibility with new CPUs. It might also be a good idea to consider a power supply upgrade if you're going for a high-end GPU.
