I'm trying to put together a PC build that can handle mid-range 1080p gaming and some light productivity work. Here's what I'm looking at for my build:
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 5 5500 (6 cores, 12 threads, 65W, AM4)
- **CPU Cooler:** ID-COOLING FROZN A410 Black
- **Motherboard:** Gigabyte B550M K
- **RAM:** Lexar THOR DDR4 16GB (2x8GB, 3200 MHz)
- **Storage:** Verbatim Vi3000 NVMe M.2 1TB SSD
- **GPU:** ASUS GeForce RTX 5060 8GB OC Dual
- **Case:** MSI MAG FORGE 100R Mid Tower
- **PSU:** CORSAIR CX750 80 PLUS Bronze 750 Watt Power Supply
The total cost is about £438 without the GPU. I'm new to PC building and would love to know if this setup will work for my needs and if there are any upgrades I should consider as I get started!

For your budget, I’d suggest upgrading to the 5060 Ti 16GB or the 9060 XT 16GB. These options will give you better longevity. Also, consider getting 32GB of RAM now since prices are likely to keep climbing. Lastly, swapping the CPU for a 5600X would be a good idea—it's about 15% faster, which is handy for 1080p gaming. However, I recommend the 5600XT instead since it's cheaper and has slightly better clock speeds.

The 5600X is a bit outdated now—it's slower than the Intel Core Ultra 225F. I never get why people still suggest AMD when they don't offer a clear performance boost anymore.
