I've got an i5-12600k processor, a 980 Pro NVME SSD, a 9070xt graphics card, and 32GB of DDR5 RAM. Despite this powerful setup, I'm experiencing slow load times in some games. For instance, Wo Long takes about 50 seconds to load, and around 20 seconds after I die. Elden Ring is similar, taking about 45 seconds to start and 15 seconds to reload after death. Plus, Horizon Zero Dawn keeps optimizing shaders, which has taken a total of 10 minutes to complete. I even let it compile recently, but it started the process again after a few days without play. Given that I usually game in short bursts because of my small kids, I'm looking for ways to speed this up. Does anyone have suggestions?

You may want to get in touch with the game developers directly to express your concerns about load times. They might not respond, but if enough players provide feedback, it could encourage them to focus on optimization for future patches.
Honestly, with your setup, you've got some good components, so a lot of the load time issues could be down to the games themselves. Developers might need to optimize their games more effectively. Alternatively, skilled modders sometimes create patches to improve performance, so it's worth checking for any mods that specifically address load times.
Have you checked your motherboard model? It sounds like it supports the SSD in an M.2 slot, which is great for speed. If it's the MSI Z690-PRO, make sure it's properly installed and the heatsink isn't causing any throttling. Sometimes, it’s just about ensuring everything is properly set up!
