I'm using a Gigabyte B850 motherboard and currently have an SSD installed right beneath my RTX 5080. However, there are two additional slots available further down on the board that aren't underneath my graphics card. Am I able to move my SSD to one of those slots? I also ordered an internal SSD with a heatsink from Costco, but I'm worried it might be too bulky to fit comfortably under the graphics card. Any advice would be much appreciated!

If your SSD is a SATA type, you can plug it into any available SATA port on the motherboard. For an M.2 SSD, it should also work in any open M.2 slot, just keep in mind that not every M.2 slot will support the same speeds. It really depends on the capabilities of your motherboard and CPU.

Got it! I checked the motherboard specs and noticed the different speeds for the PCIe slots—thanks for the heads up!
