I'm playing Fortnite on a system with an Intel i7-12700F, 32 GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 4070 SUPER, all while using the lowest settings. Despite this, I'm only getting around 120-140 FPS consistently. I've checked everything: making sure I'm not using the integrated GPU, adjusted BIOS settings, changed the 3D Nvidia settings, and updated all drivers. I'm gaming at 1080p. What could be causing this performance issue?

Have you checked if FPS is limited in the game settings? Also, keep an eye on your CPU performance, as it tends to be a bigger factor in titles like Fortnite at 1080p. It might just be that the game's putting more load on your CPU.
It sounds like your GPU isn't being pushed hard enough. Open up the task manager while you're gaming and compare your CPU and GPU usage. If the CPU usage is significantly higher, that's likely the bottleneck. The 4070 SUPER can certainly handle more frames than what you're currently getting!
I get that, but it seems tricky. The GPU is only hitting about 60-80%, while my CPU maxes out just a couple of cores.

I think that’s part of the issue, but why does it happen? Shouldn’t the GPU handle more? Is 1080p just too easy on the GPU, causing it to rely more on the CPU?
