I'm currently using a setup with a 4070 GPU, a 7800X3D CPU, and 32GB of DDR5 RAM (2x16GB). I'm thinking about upgrading to 64GB of DDR5 (2x32GB) since I've noticed I'm frequently maxing out my current RAM, especially when playing Escape From Tarkov while streaming and having multiple Chrome tabs open. My motherboard is compatible with 64GB, but I'm unsure about the costs given the new RAM pricing and whether this upgrade might cause any performance issues. Also, if the consensus is to hold off on the upgrade until RAM prices drop, I'm okay with that. Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your usage is really pushing the limits of your current RAM, especially with gaming and multitasking. However, jumping to 64GB might not be necessary just yet. If you can optimize your setup, like limiting the background apps or switching browsers, that might help. RAM prices aren't expected to fall significantly until late 2026, so upgrading now could be pricey for not much gain. Just something to keep in mind!

I totally get it! Sometimes, optimizing your software and controlling what you run in the background can make a big difference without the cost of new RAM. Give it a try!
