I'm having trouble uninstalling Trend Micro from my Windows 10 laptop, which is blocking me from upgrading to Windows 11. I've checked Programs and Features, but it's not listed there. I tried using the Trend Micro uninstaller in its folder, but that didn't work either. I also looked into the registry and found no keys related to it. I've utilized Trend Micro's Diagnostic Tool and even tried the File Remover multiple times, but the application folder is still sitting in the Program Files (x86) directory after rebooting. When I attempt to delete the folder directly, I get a message saying a program is using it. I'm really stuck here!

Have you considered using Revo Uninstaller? It's a powerful tool that could help you remove leftover files that the standard uninstaller might miss. If the free version didn't find it, try the portable version—it sometimes works better for stubborn software.

I tried the free version too, but it didn't pick up Trend Micro either. Sometimes it helps to restart your computer in Safe Mode and then run the uninstaller.
