I'm having trouble with my Mac Studio while it's updating to Sequoia. It went through a few black screens with a progress bar and displayed a tree background, which I assume is the default Sequoia desktop image. It even asked for my password for accessibility features. Now, it's stuck on the spinning rainbow beachball with no dock or menu bar visible. It's been stuck like this for about ten minutes, and I'm really anxious about what to do next. Should I just press the power button?

If your screen isn’t showing a menu bar, it’s okay to go ahead and hold down the power button to force a shutdown. Once you restart, it should recover just fine. And hey, if you weren’t aware, Macs do have a Safe Mode, so it's great you learned that! Always good to know for the future.
It sounds like you're stuck on a part of the update process. First, if it's been hanging for a while, you might want to give it some more time—about an hour or so—to see if it resolves on its own. If nothing happens, you might have to do a hard shutdown. Just hold the power button until it turns off, then you can turn it back on normally. Good luck!
