If you already have DDR5 with your 12700K, then that's a solid deal. But if you need to switch from DDR4 to DDR5, it might not be the best move for you.
I made the switch from a 12700K plus 3080 12GB to the 9800X3D and a 5080 FE, and it's been a game-changer for both gaming and my productivity tasks. The CPU usage dropped significantly from 40-70% average to around 10-50%, which has improved performance a lot!
The upgrade is only worth it if you have DDR5. Right now might not be the best time for a CPU upgrade unless you're really behind, like on something older like an Intel i5-7500.
