Hey everyone! I started downloading Apex Legends on Steam two days ago and haven't made much progress. I recently got an Ethernet cable to try and speed things up, but it doesn't seem to have helped. My WiFi is usually okay, but it can be a bit spotty. I'm pretty frustrated, and I'm hoping to get some advice on how to speed up the download. By the way, I'm using an HP Pavilion gaming computer. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to run a speed test to see your actual internet speed. That can give you a better idea of what's going on. Many users find it's a good first step!
Honestly, your internet connection is key here. If you're on a slower package, it’s going to affect your download speeds regardless of what you do. You mentioned your Xbox works fine, so it sounds like something specific to your PC might be the issue.
Usually my internet is fine for my Xbox and other devices; it’s just this new PC that's struggling.
Since using an Ethernet cable didn’t speed things up, it’s possible you might be maxing out your internet's capabilities. It could also be that your hard drive is limiting the speed. Try checking the download speeds on your other devices and compare!
I get fine speeds on WiFi, but my PC is just slow on downloads.
First off, can you share who your internet service provider is? Also, what speed are you paying for? It might help to know what Steam is showing for your current download speed too. That way, we can give you better advice!
I'm not sure what speed I'm paying for, I just know the download on Steam looks really slow. I'm new to all of this, so any help would be great! Thanks!
What’s an ISP?
Have you tried updating your motherboard BIOS? Sometimes that can help with performance issues including downloads. Just make sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully!
How can I do that?

I just ran it and got 2.20. What should I do with that info?
