I'm having trouble performing a BIOS flashback on my MSI B650 motherboard. I removed all components including the CPU, RAM, HDD, and GPU. I only connected the 20-pin and 4-pin power connectors. I prepared a USB flash drive formatted to FAT32, containing the MSI.ROM file in the root folder, and inserted it into the grey BIOS USB slot. When I hold down the button to initiate the flashback, the motherboard powers on but then quickly shuts off without processing the BIOS update. I've also tried resetting the CMOS by removing the battery for a few minutes and draining the power. I'm using a Corsair 850x PSU. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated!

Before you proceed with the BIOS flashback, can you clarify why you need to do it? Are you upgrading to a new CPU or something? I just want to make sure this is really necessary because sometimes you can run into issues if it's not needed.

Yeah, I'm upgrading to the 7800X3D CPU, so I thought a BIOS update would be required for compatibility.
