I'm looking to upgrade my setup and I'm torn between two GPUs: the 7900 XTX and the 5070 Ti. Currently, I'm using a 7800X3D and my power supply is 850W. I'll be moving to a 4K monitor soon, and I'm trying to figure out which GPU would be the better choice. The 7900 XTX is priced at $700, while the 5070 Ti costs $730. Any advice on which one to get?

Another option to consider is the 4080 Super; it might be worth checking out alongside your other choices. Good luck!
If you're looking at just the 7900 XTX and 5070 Ti, it might come down to what games you plan to play. But beware, the 7900 XTX tends to run hot. I’ve seen temperatures creeping up to 96-97C under stress tests, which is a bit alarming! Check comparison sites for game performance between these options.
Honestly, I wouldn't go for the 7900 XTX at this point. The latest features like FSR Red Stone are only for the newer AMD GPUs, like their 9000 series. If you can spend an extra $200, look into the 5080. But if you want a similar performance to the 5070 Ti for $150 less, the 9070 XT is a solid choice. My wife uses a 9070 XT, and it runs super well!
I've been checking, but I can't find a 5080 for less than $1100. Seems like it might be out of reach!
I truly recommend going for the 9070 XT over the AMD 7000 series. It's generally better for FSR and ray tracing performance with the 9000s. At $130 more, the 5070 Ti doesn’t seem worth it compared to the 9070 XT. Plus, for $400, the 5080 isn’t really a valuable upgrade either.
Wait, but would it still be a good choice for 4K gaming?

For 4K gaming, would the 9070 still be a good option, or should I really consider spending more for the 5080?
