What Cooler Should I Choose for My i5 14600K Build?

I'm building my first PC and I've chosen an Intel i5 14600K processor. I'm trying to decide between two coolers: the DEEPCOOL AK400 air cooler and the MSI CoreLiquid A12 water cooler. I've heard that both are decent options that fit my budget, but I'm looking for some advice on which would be the better choice.

I have a 14600K and I'm using the Peerless Assassin, but even that isn't quite strong enough to keep temperatures down under full load. The DEEPCOOL AK400 is smaller, so I would worry it might struggle. You might want to consider a more powerful air cooler or a budget AIO instead.

I see, thanks for the info! I don’t plan on running at 100% load since I’ll mostly be gaming on high settings. Is the MSI A12 water cooler a good choice? I can’t access the Peerless Assassin.

I'd say the water cooler might be overkill for your setup. Something like the Peerless Assassin 120 would be more than enough and should fit your needs without going overboard.

Thanks for the help! Is the AK400 a good option compared to the Peerless Assassin? I figured the water cooler might be a bit much, but since it's on sale, I considered it.
