Help Me Choose Parts for a Gaming PC on a Budget

I'm a teenager with limited experience, and I really want to build a gaming PC that provides the immersive experience a gaming laptop just can't match. I need a setup that can run demanding games like GTA V and Marvel's Spider-Man without lag, and I'm working with a budget of around $800, maybe a little more or less. I also want it to last for at least three years without needing an upgrade. Any advice on what parts I should consider?

Check out Facebook Marketplace for builds featuring an i5 processor and a GTX 1650. You might find a good deal there!

If you're in the U.S., look for a graphics card like the NVIDIA 4070 or even a 4070 Ti. Pair it with an LGA 1700 or AM5 processor and consider getting 32GB of RAM. It might take some time to negotiate, but it’s possible to fit these into your budget if you shop around.

Before anything, let us know where you are located, what your sales tax is, and if your budget needs to include peripherals like a mouse, keyboard, and monitor. That will really help narrow down your options!

Consider looking for used parts. Your local marketplace can be a goldmine, but make sure to compare prices and ask for details to see if it’s a good deal.
