My PC Freezes While Playing Games—Any Fixes?

I'm having a frustrating issue with my PC freezing during various games like Valorant, Fortnite, and Apex. It happens about every 5 to 10 seconds, and I get these annoying micro-freezes that last about half a second. While it's not too long, it's really disruptive, especially when I'm facing an enemy in-game. I've checked a few things to try and resolve the issue: my drivers are up to date, my monitor settings are correct, and I got a good speed on a SpeedTest (over 400). My graphics card is decent and my overall PC performance is fine. Despite all this, I'm still at a loss and just can't keep playing those games. Can anyone suggest what I might be missing or how to fix this?

You might also want to run a hardware check. Sometimes, faulty RAM or a failing hard drive can cause similar freezing issues in games. Use software like Memtest86 for RAM or check your hard drive's health with CrystalDiskInfo to rule those out. If those are fine, consider reinstalling the games that are causing problems; it could fix corrupted files.

Absolutely! I had to reinstall some games when mine kept freezing too. Corrupt files can really mess with performance. Keep us updated on what you try!

It sounds really annoying! Since you've already checked your drivers and monitor settings, you might want to try lowering the graphics settings in the games you're playing. Sometimes, even a good graphics card can struggle with higher settings if something is off. Also, check your system temperature to see if your PC is overheating; that can cause freezing too. Have you tried closing any background applications that could be using up resources?

Yeah, that's a good point! Keeping an eye on the temps is crucial. Also, check your RAM usage while gaming; if it's too high, it could be causing those micro-freezes. When I had a similar issue, I realized my browser was eating up a lot of memory!
