What’s the Best Linux Distro for a Low-End Micro PC?

I have a low-end micro PC with an Intel i3 CPU and just 4GB of RAM. I'm mainly using it for emulating retro games and watching downloaded movies. Currently, it's running Bazzite, but it struggles with features like Big Picture mode. I'm looking for a Linux distribution that can provide a more console-like experience rather than a traditional PC setup. Any recommendations?

For your hardware, I'd steer away from full desktop distros. If you're aiming for that console vibe, I'd recommend checking out Batocera or RetroPie. Batocera is especially user-friendly and offers a plug-and-play setup, making it easier to get started.

I've had good experiences with MX Linux on low-end systems, but given your focus on retro gaming, you might want to stick with dedicated distributions like Batocera. It’s specifically designed for retro arcade emulation and could be perfect for what you want.
