I'm managing a ton of Windows servers and I'm looking for the best ways to handle my RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) connections. I used to rely on the Windows Remote Desktop app from the Microsoft Store, but I've heard it's been discontinued and replaced. The new version doesn't have the RDP management features that I need either. What tools do you all recommend for managing multiple RDP connections effectively?

I find RoyalTS really handy. It's user-friendly and has tons of features without being overwhelming. Perfect for both casual users and those who need advanced options at their fingertips.
I use mRemoteNG for my connections. It's pretty versatile, supports other protocols like SSH, and it has been my go-to for a long time. Just make sure to enable encryption for your connections to keep things secure.
Thanks for the tip, I’ll check out the encryption settings!
Devolutions Remote Desktop Manager is another solid option. I've found the free version quite useful, but the paid version really amps up the features, especially if you’ve got various protocols to handle like RDP and SSH.
Couldn't agree more! The free version is great, but once you go paid, you'll see just how much more powerful it can be.
I’ll have to check it out, sounds promising!
You should definitely check out Remote Desktop Connection Manager. It's great for keeping your connections organized, especially if you're dealing with a lot of servers. I've been using it for years and it really helps manage the chaos!
This is the only way to keep your sanity when handling over 20 RDP connections!
Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for the recommendation!
If you're handling a lot of server management, maybe consider using Azure Bastion or Remote PowerShell to cut down on RDP sessions. It helps streamline a lot of tasks and is generally more secure.
That’s a solid suggestion! Moving away from RDP for some tasks could really enhance security.

Good point about security! Always important to ensure your configurations are safe.
