Hey everyone, I'm trying to set up a dual boot on my laptop with Windows 11 and Linux. I've been using Linux for a few months, but I really need Windows for specific tasks like gaming with kernel anti-cheat. However, I'm running into a problem while installing Windows 11.
When I use Rufus to create a bootable USB, it forces NTFS, which my laptop's firmware doesn't recognize. If I try using Ventoy, I get an error while booting that says Windows failed to start and gives instructions to repair it, indicating that the Boot Configuration Data is missing or corrupted. I know I could use the Windows media creation tool, but I prefer to install Windows LTSC instead. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I’ve had secure boot disabled the whole time and still ran into issues. I’m going to reflash the USB and see if the same error pops up again. I’ll share exactly what it says in case it helps!
When using Rufus, it creates both a FAT32 partition and an NTFS partition if your image has files over 4GB. You should boot from the FAT32 partition and that will load the necessary files from the NTFS partition. If you're still having trouble, try temporarily disabling secure boot; you can enable it again after the installation. If that doesn't help, let me know the exact model of your laptop. We might need to inject specific drivers into the Windows setup process.
