I'm upgrading my old Intel CPU to a Ryzen 5 7600, and I'm debating whether I should also replace my power supply unit (PSU). Currently, I have an EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G1 that's been running perfectly since 2016. My new build's estimated power consumption is around 424W. Is it wise to upgrade my PSU along with my CPU?

No need to replace it! Your 650W PSU should handle the new setup just fine unless you're planning on adding a high-end GPU.
Most likely, you're fine with your 650W PSU unless you plan on getting a hefty graphics card. Just keep an eye on efficiency as PSUs can start to lose it over time.
The Ryzen 5 7600 generally uses less power than older Intel chips, so you might not need to swap your PSU. However, since yours is almost 9 years old, it could be a good idea for safety. If money is tight, though, it shouldn't cause immediate problems to keep it for now.
It's definitely a good idea to replace your PSU if you can swing it. It's nearing the end of its lifespan, and replacing it while you can make it easy is wise.
If you can afford it, consider getting a 1000W PSU. This way, you won't have to upgrade next time, especially with prices possibly rising.
